King's Valley 2 stage filenames can be versatile. They can have spaces in the filename without being long filenames recent operating systems use. In Windows such filenames are turned into long filenames and the short variant will contain ~ followed by a value, depending on the number of equal long filenames. When giving a stage a name it's also stored internally. When the name given to the actual file differs from the name stored in the file, it can't be found after a continue. With ELGSYNC the filename of the file can be renamed back to the filename stored within the file, or the internal name be changed according to the file name. This will allow the game to find the stage after a continue.
The tool can be downloaded from my Home Page.
